Job Description

A Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems and networks from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches. The role involves monitoring security systems, analyzing security incidents, and implementing measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activity.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, or alerts.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure security compliance.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Prepare reports on security incidents, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Assist in developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate threats.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify patterns or anomalies.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISM are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in network security, IT security, or threat analysis is preferred.
