Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pastry Chef to join our busy team at Baked by Joseph & Ann located in the heart of Ipswich, QLD.

This is a long-term position for the right candidate, offering the opportunity to contribute creatively while working in a supportive, professional environment.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position within a small, dedicated team. You will be involved in all aspects of daily production — from mixing and baking to decorating and presenting high-quality products for our retail cabinet.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  •  Baking, decorating, and finishing cakes
  •  Measuring and mixing ingredients accurately
  •  Following production and recipe sheets
  •  Finishing, packaging, and labelling products
  •  Cleaning and maintaining production and preparation areas
  •  Assisting with general kitchen duties as required
  •  Opportunity to create your own items for the sweets cabinet, having full creative   flow and choice

Skills & Experience

  •  Excellent piping and cake decorating skills
  •  A creative eye and attention to detail in presentation
  •  Good communication and basic math skills
  •  Strong teamwork and the ability to take direction
  •  Confidence to work independently
  •  A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable nature

  •  Previous experience in a pastry or cake kitchen (essential)
