About the Role

We are seeking residential care officers with a genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities who have a range of support needs in community-based residential settings across Melbourne.

You will play a key role in helping our participants achieve their goals, develop life skills, and participate in daily and recreational activities. Shifts are available across a rotating 7-day roster (mornings, afternoons, sleepovers, and active nights), offering both flexibility and consistency.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement person-centered care and support plans.
  • Monitor participants’ health and emotional well-being, reporting concerns.
  • Organize and facilitate social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Promote and support independence in daily tasks (cooking, hygiene, mobility).
  • Maintain documentation and incident reports accurately.
  • Collaborate with families, coordinators, and allied health professionals.
  • Maintain a safe and respectful home environment.
  • Comply with NDIS Practice Standards.

 

Minimum Requirements
  • Current and valid Driver’s license
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • National Police Check (within 12 months)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You
  • NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
  • Certificate III or higher in Disability/Individual Support/Aged Care
  • Manual Handling Training
  • COVID-19 Double Vaccination
  • Right to Work in Australia
Schedule
  • Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night/Sleepover shifts
  • Monday–Sunday rotating roster
  • Includes weekends & public holidays
Supplementary Pay
  • Penalty rates (applicable for weekends, nights, and public holidays)
