Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help lead development of AutoSoft’s banking / financial software modules. You’ll design, develop, maintain, and optimize key parts of the system – often involving complex financial logic, performance, scalability, regulatory compliance, and integrations with external channels or services. You’ll also mentor junior engineers, help shape architecture choices, and ensure code quality and security.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain core banking software modules (e.g. core banking, trade finance, treasury).
  • Collaborate with product, quality assurance, business analysts and support teams to deliver features end-to-end.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, using modern software engineering practices.
  • Participate in software architecture decisions, code reviews, and design discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with information security standards (AutoSoft is ISO 27001 certified) and assist in security audits.
  • Contribute to performance tuning, scalability, and reliability of the systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help maintain engineering best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • 4-7+ years of experience in software development, ideally in banking or financial services domain.
  • Proficiency in backend technologies (e.g. Java, C#/.NET, or similar) and database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with core banking concepts, Islamic banking workflows, trade finance, treasury operations is a plus. 
  • Experience with web services, APIs, microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of security best practices & compliance (e.g. ISO 27001, risk management).
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to handle complex transactions and workflows.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work in teams.
