Job Description

A Shift Leader at Guzman y Gomez is responsible for supervising and guiding the restaurant crew during their shifts, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and adherence to company standards. This role acts as the first point of leadership in the restaurant, bridging communication between crew members and the Restaurant Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the crew during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with company policies.
  • Take and manage customer orders, resolving complaints or issues promptly.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained and stock is used efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in both FOH and BOH areas.
  • Communicate shift reports and operational issues to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Support overall restaurant performance, including sales and customer satisfaction targets.
