Job Description

A Bar Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving drinks, managing the bar area, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment. This role ensures that customers receive high-quality beverages and a welcoming experience, while maintaining cleanliness, stock, and compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service.
  • Manage bar inventory, restocking as necessary.
  • Handle cash and card payments accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian liquor laws and health & safety regulations.
  • Assist in training new bar staff or interns.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and FOH staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification – mandatory in Australia.
