Job Description

A Crop Technician is responsible for supporting the production, monitoring, and management of crops to ensure optimal growth, yield, and quality. This role involves fieldwork, data collection, and implementing agronomic practices under the guidance of agronomists or farm managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor crop growth, health, and development in the field.
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as directed.
  • Collect and analyze soil, plant, and environmental data.
  • Assist in planning and implementing irrigation schedules.
  • Identify pest, disease, and nutrient issues and report to supervisors.
  • Operate and maintain agricultural machinery and equipment safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments, crop performance, and field activities.
  • Support research or trial plots for crop improvement programs.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of crop production, plant physiology, and agronomy.
