Job Description

A Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering food orders from the restaurant to customers safely, on time, and in excellent condition. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the brand’s reputation. Delivery Drivers may also assist with order preparation and vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick up food orders from the restaurant and deliver them to customers promptly.
  • Ensure all food items are handled safely and arrive in good condition.
  • Follow the most efficient routes and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including cash and card transactions if applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times or issues.
  • Adhere to road safety rules and company policies.
  • Assist in packaging and preparing orders when required.
  • Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly.
Required Skills
  • Valid Australian driver’s license (appropriate class for the vehicle).
  • Strong knowledge of local roads and GPS/navigation systems.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
  • Physical fitness to carry and deliver food safely.
  • Responsible and reliable with a professional attitude.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of High School Certificate (Year 12) or equivalent.
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
