Job Description

The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily agricultural operations on the farm or plantation. This role ensures that crops and livestock are managed efficiently, production targets are met, and farm staff work safely and effectively. The Field Supervisor also monitors equipment use, quality standards, and compliance with agricultural regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily farm operations, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, harvesting, and pest management.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, training, and support.
  • Maintain farm equipment and ensure proper usage.
  • Implement and monitor crop production plans to achieve yield targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, inventory, and production.
  • Report operational progress, challenges, and recommendations to management.
Required Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of crop cultivation, irrigation systems, and soil management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in the field and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with agricultural machinery and farm equipment.
Qualification:
  • Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2–5 years) in farm management or field supervision.
  • Certifications in farm safety or machinery operation are a plus.
