Job Description

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales of Nicol and Son’s fresh produce, building strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves a combination of fieldwork, client management, and coordination with internal teams to meet sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the produce market.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide advice and guidance on product selection and availability.

3. Market Research & Reporting:

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to management.

4. Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the logistics, packing, and production teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to promote new products and seasonal offerings.

5. Customer Service & Support:

  • Handle client feedback and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Ensure clients receive high-quality service and support.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Good understanding of sales processes and business development strategies.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in sales, preferably in agriculture, produce, or FMCG sectors.
  • Knowledge of the produce industry and supply chain is a plus.
